Opening this page does not use the tank.
Attach a file (PDF, Word, or scan)
Use Attach on Ask or a Matter. A PDF is read as text and pages. A Word file (.docx) is read as text. A scan or photo is read as page images. Those pages are used for that run. Original files can stay in this browser. Keeping a matter stores what Keep persists — not automatically every attached byte. Legacy .doc and .rtf are not read; save as .docx or PDF.
Opened vs Not opened
Opened means LIA fetched the judgment text in this run. Not opened means the case was named but the judgment was not fetched. Ask never says Opened — it uses Identified, Knowledge, or Not opened. An Opened judgment still needs counsel confirmation before you cite it.
Ask vs Review vs Deep Review
Ask answers the question on the desk. Review this file runs one governed pass when the file has changed. It is not Deep Review and does not run a second working.
Deep Review: Two workings and a settlement. Uses more credits (two workings). It needs a working on the file first. Guests cannot run it.
Split a large search
On Review, tick Split a large search once for the Matter. A large file — three or more documents, or a long extract — is searched one file at a time. The desk lists each file as found or not found, with a short quote. Those quotes go to the working. A small file is not split. Ask is not split.
A connected Drive or Dropbox folder is searched by filename while Review runs. Those names land on the list. They are not read into the working already started. Mail is not connected, and the list says so.
Approve it when the brief is large. A single Review clips, and a clipped pass can miss a later page. The split shows what was read and spends more credits because it covers more of the file. LIA asks again only if the next search would take the seat below 500 credits.
What Deep Review costs
Deep Review uses more credits (two workings). Ask and Review this file each use credits when a working lands. A run that does not land is 0 credits. Opening this page does not use the tank.
Guest vs account
An account is yours. Continuing as a guest keeps the working file on this device. Guests have a complimentary tank of 150 credits. Sign in to keep work on the account, Keep as a matter, and run Deep Review. Guests cannot run Deep Review.
Keep as Matter
Keep as a matter turns an Ask conversation into a named file. It unlocks evidence, chronology, and review types. Nothing already asked is lost. Guests cannot Keep — the inquiry stays on this device.
Federation
FIA Labs ships separate professional desks — LIA, MIA, CFO Sentinel, Aquinian Studio, Brandium, ExecMind, Cine-Novelist. Each desk is its own practice. Matters, conversations, files, and drafts stay on the desk that created them. There is no shared workspace and no silent sync.
Federation is the layer that lets one practitioner use those desks as a house, not as seven disconnected logins that cannot speak.
Federation is a room of desks in the domains a matter needs — law, medicine, finance, strategy, brand, theology and ethics, and narrative — without merging their files. You walk to the desk that owns the question. You send an FIA Brief when you want that desk’s view on a packet you authorise. You do not dump the whole matter on the table.
What it is for
Work often needs more than one discipline before you green-light it. A Brandium campaign may need LIA on claims and CFO on cost. An ExecMind decision may need LIA on exposure. Federation is how you send a defined packet to another desk and get a defined reply back, without pouring the whole matter file across the house.
What is shared
- FIA Plan — the house seat for the suite. It turns Federation on for this account.
- FIA credit packs — extra fuel that works across the suite and does not expire.
- FIA Briefs — only what you explicitly authorise to send.
What is never shared
Conversations, uploads, exhibits, transcripts, and the matter file. Opening another desk is navigation, not a data merge.
FIA Brief
An FIA Brief is not a client brief, a Crown brief, or a counsel brief. It is a short authorised export you compose: the question, the conclusion you are willing to show, the caution. The receiving desk comments on that packet. The sending desk can read the reply. Governance is the record of FIA Briefs sent and returned — not a copy of either desk’s chat.
How you can tell it is on
- FEDERATION INACTIVE (grey, under the LIA logo): this account has no FIA Plan seat. You can still use LIA. Send FIA Brief and FIA Brief inbox stay locked. Operator, Counsel, and Chambers do not include Federation.
- FEDERATION ACTIVATED (green, under the LIA logo): this account has an active FIA Plan. You may send an FIA Brief to another shipped desk and receive FIA Briefs those desks send back.
Credits and Plan
On LIA, Operator, Counsel, and Chambers remain the deep single-desk allotments. FIA Plan is the house seat for the suite: 1,000 credits each billing period, usable on any shipped desk, and Federation included. Extra credit packs work across the suite and do not expire. You pay for what you consume after the included allotment. FIA Plan is an alternative to a single-desk seat, not an extra charge on top of Operator, Counsel, or Chambers. Packs do not turn Federation on.
